Homework:

• Last week students were given the homework of reading chapter 8 in their social studies text. The text is available both online or they could have brought home their books. They were assigned this homework for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and be ready to discuss some of the major concepts today. There were a number of students who said that they never read it. This was quite disappointing as most had a parent signature for Thursday, indicating that their homework had been attended to.  The students will have a quiz on chapter 8 on Friday. It will be open book. If they have completed the reading, it will be a very easy task for them. Please make sure that they have done the reading.  Please feel free to ask them questions about people and places that they read about.
• Math- some students had in their agenda that there was homework in math this evening. We would like to have more time with the concept tomorrow, therefore, there is NO HOMEWORK IN MATH TONIGHT.
• Social Studies Project- Students were given a project to complete based on the American Revolution. The directions and an example came home today. We will review again tomorrow in class and what the expectations for completion are.

Please send in a healthy nut-free snack daily. 

It seems as though there was an issue on ParentVue with a social studies grade being under math, if your child is on Mrs. Wallace's roster. This was to have been fixed already.  I have investigated further and I believe it has been corrected. Please email Mrs. Wallace if you are still seeing a discrepancy. Thank you.

Headphones:
Students will need headphones for Music class next week. If they do not already have a pair here, please send in a pair. Please have all headphones here by Monday. Thank you.

Dress down day...Students can pay $1 to dress down. We would love to see students wear Falcons' gear or colors (red and black) with jeans or any NFL jersey.

Please check with your child to see if they are at the point where new composition books are needed.

• Save The Date! One of our most popular events at Teasley is our International Night. This year's International Night will be on March 3rd from 6:30-8:30 pm. If your family is interested in representing a country at the event, email Beth Seelinger at elseelinger@yahoo.com.

• Don't forget about Birthday Grams! For a $20 donation to the Teasley PAWS Foundation, your child’s name will be announced on the Teasley Morning News, posted on the marquee in front of the school and included on the TV monitors throughout the school for all their friends to see. If your child has a summer birthday, get a Birthday Gram for their half birthday. They need to be submitted by Thursday evening, the week before their birthday. There are forms in the front office or visit http://www.teasleytigers.com/birthday-grams to purchase them.

• Join your Teasley Tigers with the Atlanta Hawks on March 5^th as they take on the Indiana Pacers. Please note that you will order through and receive your tickets directly from the Atlanta Hawks. Homework:

• Students were instructed to bring home their Social Studies text book or access the textbook on line through our blog. Students are to read Ch 8 p.260-289. They have Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday to complete the reading. The reading can be done as their 30 minutes of daily reading time, it just needs to be logged on their reading log. This reading is in preparation for a project that they will be assigned on Monday, "The ABC's of the Revolution".

STUDENT BOOK FAIR WEEK- FEB. 6-9, 2017 – Cash Only

A variety of high-interest, fiction, and nonfiction books will be available to purchase during the school day February 6^th through 9^th.

All the books available for purchase by students will range from $5 to $10. 

(Note: there are no non-book items at this fair, only reading material.) 

Proceeds from the fair will help support our library program.

Please consider sending your child to school with at least $5 so they can choose books they will love!
